SOLD Art Deco 18kt White Gold Diamond Drop Earrings
A wonderful pair of earrings, originally from France, from the Art Deco period, c1925. The earrings are made from 18ct white gold and have the eagle head hallmark on the posts. They are beautifully made with the bottom drop being fully articulated, whilst also held in place with a little bar across the back that is attached to the posts of the earrings. This is a classic piece of French design. To the front are transitional cut diamonds measuring approx 3.5mm across making them around 0.15 of a carat of diamonds each. They are around a J/K colour and are approx VS clarity; these grades are given whilst the diamonds remain in their settings.
They sparkle beautifully in the ear and have little rose cut diamonds to the top. As is often the case with French earrings, these have the dormeuse settings making them very secure in the ear.
