SOLD Art Deco Garnet & Diamond Target Earrings
Pretty and elegant earrings from the early part of the 20th Century, circa 1920s/30s. The earrings are made from 18kt white and yellow gold and are likely to be French in origin. They have been made in the 'target' style, popular during this period, and have bright red garnets at the center, approx 5mm in diameter each. There is a bright white diamond at the top of the earrings, each is approximately 3mm in diameter, which is around 0.1ct each. There are indications that they have been converted from French dormeuse settings to shepherds hooks; this suits their style well and has been done expertly.
