SOLD Art Deco Square Diamond Ring with Green Spinel
A beautiful ring from the Art Deco period, c1920s. The ring is made from 18ct gold and has a square shaped top with a beautiful cut out detail. The frame of the ring is studded with little diamonds and at the centre is a vibrant green synthetic spinel. Synthetic stones became popular in the Art Deco period as techniques to produce a manmade stone with all the same properties as the natural version became more sophisticated. This makes this ring very representative of the period, coupled with its wonderful geometric design. It is beautiful quality and looks lovely on the hand.
