• SOLD Early Victorian Rose Diamond Flower Earrings

This item is out of stock
A beautiful pair of earrings from the early Victorian period. They are European in origin, likely Dutch, and have fabulous rose cut diamonds set throughout. There is a larger rose cut diamond at the center, which measures approximately 4.5mm in diameter, in a gorgeous pinched collet setting. The entire central setting measures approximately 7.5mm in diameter. Surrounding this center stone are flower petals, each with a small rose diamond set into it. The front of the earrings is silver, as was customary of this period, whilst they are backed with 14kt yellow gold.

The butterflies are not original and are 14kt white gold. I can offer a larger gold tone butterfly with a plastic disc that would push up to the ear. The earrings are quite heavy and have a tendency to fall forward on a smaller earlobe. These butterflies would alleviate this. The backs are pictured; please let me know if you would prefer these, otherwise, the earrings will come with the 14kt white gold butterflies.
