SOLD Edwardian 10ct Gold Water Opal Drop Earrings
A beautiful pair of fairly large earrings from the early part of the 20th Century, c1915. The earrings are made from 10ct gold and have wonderful water opals that have been set in simple gold frames. The opals have a beautiful translucent colour that you would expect from this variation of this popular gemstone, with flashes of blue and orange moving through the stones. They are a lovely large size allowing the light to caption the gems fully, and look beautiful in the ear. They sit on the end of elongated hooks, which gives the earrings a lovely elegance.
