SOLD Edwardian 15ct Gold Opal & Pearl Lavalier Necklace
A beautiful and elegant necklace from the Edwardian period, c1910. The pendant is a classic lavalier style made from 15ct gold, whilst the chain part of the necklace is 9ct gold. At the bottom hangs a beautiful natural opal. The opal has an unusual rectangular shape with double claw corners and exhibits a wonderful array of subtle colours. As is often the case with opals, the pictures do not do this pretty stone justice and there is plenty of colour across the spectrum. The stem of the lavalier design is lovely and fine and as a little seed pearl at the top and bottom to finish the piece perfectly.
