SOLD Edwardian 15kt Gold Pearl Double Sided Locket

A perfect Edwardian double sided locket, c1905. The locket is made from solid 15kt gold and has a beautiful row of natural seed pearls around the outside. The edge of the locket follows the shape of the pearls, giving it a scalloped edge. The locket has glass to the front and a removable framed glass at the back. There is a painted portrait at the center of a little boy. This is original to the piece and could be removed if required to add a group of gemstones to make a popular shaker locket or to add your own photograph. This is a truly beautiful example and it is in immaculate condition.

The locket hangs on a 14kt gold fill chain that is 18" long and is included.
