SOLD Edwardian 15kt Gold Ruby, Sapphire & Diamond Buckle Ring

A gorgeous buckle ring from the Edwardian period. The ring is a double buckle motif, which has been expertly made, and has rubies, sapphires and rose diamonds set amongst the design. A lovely combination of colors, the rose diamonds adorn the keepers of the belt and the rubies and sapphires sit along the belt itself. The ring has a lovely Chester hallmark and is stamped for 15kt gold (.625 also pertains to 15kt gold). This ring is a small size and looks incredible as a pinky ring, though it could also be sized up a little if required.

The gemstones have been tested with a presidium gem tester and it transpires that one of the sapphires is actually a paste stone. I believe it to be original to the ring, however, and it is a perfect color match.
