SOLD Edwardian 9ct Gold Faceted Heart Locket Ring
A beautiful and simple ring from the late Edwardian period, dated Chester 1909. The ring is made from 9ct gold and has full English hallmarks on the inside of the shank. To the top is a heart shaped glass topped locket. The glass is faceted to the surface giving the ring a lovely play of light. It is likely that there was hair behind the glass when it was first made and it could have been a memorial ring. The hair has been removed at some point and there remains a piece of plain woven cream silk behind the glass. There is beautiful scroll work to the shoulders and this is a lovely antique ring. Unusual and interesting in equal measure.
