SOLD Edwardian 9ct Gold Forget-Me-Not Enamel Heart Locket
A beautiful and unusual locket from the Edwardian period, dated 1901. The locket is made from solid 9ct gold and has the most wonderful enamel to the front. The enamel is graded in colour with a pale blue to the top, moving to white and a pale lilac at the tip. On top of this pretty enamel are three hand painted forget-me-not flowers. A wonderful romantic piece in the shape of a heart. The locket opens and the inside has a little lip on each side to allow photos to be added and held in place. To the back there is an engraving, which reads 'Rosie from Kit 1901'. A truly lovely piece.
The locket will come on an 18" 14kt gold fill chain as pictured.
