SOLD Edwardian 9ct Gold Pearl Horseshoe Bracelet
A pretty and interesting bangle from the turn of the last Century, c1900. The bracelet is made from 9ct gold and has two wonderful horseshoes at the centre top. The horseshoes are studded throughout with lovely split pearls and these have a pretty creamy lustre. At the centre of each of the horseshoes is a beautiful pink gemstone. I believe these stones to be pink topaz as they are certainly a genuine gemstone and have the refractive index of a topaz stone. There is a slight variation in the pinks of the stones, also similar to that of topaz, and they have been beautifully cushion cut and set in pinched, frill like settings. It is unusual to find pink topaz in this period of jewellery and certainly these have a beautiful soft colour.
