• SOLD Edwardian Almandine Garnet & Pearl Necklace

This item is out of stock

A pretty necklace from the Edwardian period, c1910s. The necklace is made from 15ct gold and has 9ct gold settings to the stones. The almandine garnets are a lovely deep purple/pink and look beautiful against the gold. The chain has three little cultured pearl spacers, one along the chain leading to the pear shaped drop and the other two on either side of the central design further along the chain. It seems to me that this is likely to be a marriage of the 15ct gold chain to the almandine garnets in their settings. All pieces are antique and it has made a beautiful and unusual design. It is subtle and elegant and the garnets are a very flattering shade.
