SOLD Edwardian 9ct Gold Double Sided Glass Locket
A pretty and unusual double sided locket from the Edwardian period, dated Birmingham 1908. The locket has a pretty scrolled border, which is interspersed with turquoise, coral and seed pearls. The three gems look beautiful together and are very complimentary. The gold frames hold two slightly convex glass panels and are held together by a screw mechanism that can be undone to place your own photos behind. There may even be enough space to place some flat gemstones behind to create a shaker locket, though this has not been tested. The locket is fully hallmarked and has a bolt clasp at the top meaning it could attach to any chain or charm collection.
