SOLD Edwardian French Dormeuse Diamond Earrings
A pretty pair of Edwardian earrings, c1910. The earrings are likely to be French and are a beautiful pair of diamond earrings, classic to the period and the French style. The diamonds measure approximately 3.8mm in diameter, making them around 0.2 of a carat each. Interestingly, one of the diamonds is an old mine cut, whilst the other is a round brilliant cut; this indicates that one of the diamonds is a replacement to the original. This is not at all noticeable overall and is noted for accuracy only. They each sparkle beautifully and are of a similar colour and clarity, around H colour, SI clarity. To the top of the main diamonds is a little rose cut diamond.
All the diamonds are set in platinum, whilst the fastenings are 18kt yellow gold. The earrings have dormeuse fastenings making them very secure in the ear.
