SOLD Edwardian Large Paste Earrings
A marvellous pair of earrings from the Edwardian period, c1905. The earrings are made from silver with 9ct gold ear wires and have beautiful bright paste stones set in the closed back silver. The paste stones are in excellent condition and these really do shine out like diamonds. The bottom stones are slightly larger than the top two and all the stones have been cut in the style of old mine cut diamonds. Such wonderful earrings.
Paste is glass that has been cut in such a way to mimic diamonds. It was used often in antique jewellery and these beauties are fine examples from this later period for this type of jewellery.

Size - The earrings measure approx 18mm long . The bottom stones are approx 8mm in diameter and the top stones measure approx 6mm in diameter.
