• SOLD Edwardian Silver Gilt Moonstone Necklace

    A beautiful necklace from the late Edwardian period, c1915. The necklace has a garland of 13 graduated moonstones that have all been individually set in their own little 'spectacle' settings. They are the centrepiece of a lovely solid, yet fine, simple link chain. The necklace is made from sterling silver that has been gilded to give it a gold appearance, a common practice during this period.


    Materials - Sterling Silver Gilt, Moonstones

    Age - C1915

    Size - Centre largest moonstone measures 11mm by 8.5mm. Smallest stones at either edge measure 7mm by 5mm.

            Necklace measures 15 7/8" long, just shy of 16".

    Condition - Very good. The bolt ring clasp may have been replaced at some point. Noted for accuracy only.
