SOLD Edwardian Solid 9ct Gold Ivy Leaf Locket
A pretty solid gold heart locket from the Edwardian period, dated Birmingham 1905. The locket is made from 9ct gold and has a full hallmark on the back. It has a pattern of ivy leaves all over the front and back with a little plain scroll design to allow you to engrave some initials or something personal to the back. The gold has a lovely soft glow as you would expect from antique gold and inside are two heart shaped frames that can be removed to place your own photos inside. Ivy leaves were often used during this period to represent eternity, fidelity and friendship due to the fact that they are evergreen and a hardy plant.
This locket will come on a 14kt gold fill chain as pictured.
