• SOLD Georgian 18ct Gold Blue Paste Laurel Leaf Ring

This item is out of stock

A pretty and elegant ring from the late Georgian period, c1830s. The ring is made from 18ct gold and is French in origin, marked with the eagles head on the outside of the shank. At the centre is a simple blue paste stone, original to the ring, that has a lovely soft pale blue colour. The stone is fairly rubbed, but has been faceted perfectly to allow it to catch the light beautifully. The shank really completes this ring with its beautiful laurel leaves down either side of the shoulders. The laurel leaf is a symbol of victory as well as a sign of success and prosperity. This is a lovely original ring that could be worn as part of a stack or alone.
