• SOLD Georgian 8 Stone Paste Half Hoop Ring

This item is out of stock

An absolutely beautiful ring from the Georgian period, the early 1800s. The ring has eight graduated paste stones set across the finger in a half hoop style. A fairly rare find to have eight stones rather than seven, and the way in which the sizes of the stones gradually get smaller towards the edge of the setting give this ring a real statement look on the hand. The ring appears to be all original with the paste stones set in silver pinched collet settings that have not been touched since the day it was made. It has a 9ct gold simple shank that does show evidence of a previous resizing. This could be rectified if the ring was resized, or left as it is.

A true wonder that is hard to let go!
