• SOLD Georgian Cabochon Garnet Chain Bracelet

This item is out of stock

A pretty and elegant bracelet from the later Georgian period, c1820s-30s. The bracelet has beautiful deep red cabochon garnets set in cut down collet settings. The garnets have a rich red colour and truly glow from within. The settings are typically Georgian and have a handmade appearance. The metal is 'garnet gold'; a very low grade gold that garnets were often set in throughout the 19th Century. The garnets are all the same size in their disc settings with little measures of chain in between, other than the garnet on the clasp, which is slightly larger. The clasp is hidden beneath this larger garnet creating a continuous style around the wrist. A lovely, delicate piece to be worn with care and appreciated for its age.
