Late Edwardian Platinum Blue Sapphire Ring
A beautiful solitaire ring from the late Edwardian period, c1910s. The ring is made from solid platinum, which is marked on the inside of the shank as 'PLAT'. It has a stunning natural blue sapphire set in a simple rub over setting. The sapphire has a lovely depth of colour and has been cut beautifully to show this off. It measures approx 7.5mm by 6mm with an approximate depth of 5mm making it around 1.5cts. The platinum and blue sapphire combination is a striking one and this is a beautiful simply designed ring.
