SOLD Victorian 14kt Gold Water Opal Pendant
A beautiful and simple pendant from the late Victorian period, c1900. The pendant has a gorgeous oval water opal (also known as jelly opal) that has been simply claw set in an oval setting. The opal has a lovely translucent quality and has faint hints of different colours that catch in various lights. The setting of the pendant tests as 14kt gold and the bale is a newer 9ct addition. This lovely pendant looks beautiful worn alone, though it could also be worn as part of a stack of charms or necklaces.
This pendant will come on a 14kt gold fill 18" chain, similar to that pictured.
