SOLD Victorian 15ct Gold Garnet Cross Pendant
A beautiful cross pendant from the Victorian period, c1860. The pendant has five flat cut garnets and a cabochon garnet all set in closed back settings. The garnets are a wonderfully deep rich red and glisten perfectly in the light. The top stone is the cabochon and may have been a replacement, though it is an excellent match and very hard to tell if this is the case. The pendant is a fairly large size with a little dagger drop hanging from the end, also possibly a later addition, and there is some articulation throughout the piece giving it wonderful movement when worn.
The pendant will come on an 18" 14ct gold fill chain as pictured.
