• SOLD Victorian 15kt Gold Garnet & Chrysoberyl Ring

    £0.00

This item is out of stock

A pretty ring from the mid Victorian period, circa 1870. The ring is made from 15kt gold and is a five stone design with 3 garnets and 2 chrysoberyl in between. The garnets are in closed back settings and appear as very deep colored stones, one on the end has a little more life in the color. They are flat cuts meaning that they sit fairly flush in their setting. The chrysoberyl, meanwhile, are in open backed settings and their vibrancy is wonderful. Chrysoberyl is a pretty pale yellow color and this combination of garnet and chrysoberyl is a classic one.

The setting of the stones is very classic to the Victorian period and has the pretty scrolled finishings on the edge. The shoulders of the shank are beautifully etched and this ring would look wonderful in a ring stack or worn alone.
