The diamond is approximately just over 4mm wide making it around a 1/4 of a carat and is a beautiful old mine cut with a lovely high table. The diamond is buttercup set, a traditional setting from this period, and would make a beautiful alternative engagement ring. The ring is 18ct gold, marked on the inside of the shank.
