SOLD Victorian 18ct Gold Yellow Diamond Buttercup Ring
A pretty and simple ring from the late Victorian period, c1890. The ring has a beautiful yellow diamond at its centre, which is eye-clean with no carbon spots. The diamond is approximately just over 4mm wide making it around a 1/4 of a carat and is a beautiful old mine cut with a lovely high table. The diamond is buttercup set, a traditional setting from this period, and would make a beautiful alternative engagement ring. The ring is 18ct gold, marked on the inside of the shank.
