• SOLD Victorian 9ct Gold Back & Front Pearl Flower Heart Locket

This item is out of stock

A pretty heart locket from the Victorian period, c1880s. The locket is made from 9ct gold to the back and to the front with a metal core. This was a common practice during this period and the overall appearance to the solid 9ct gold exterior is a lovely rosy hue. To the front is a pretty star shaped flower with a turquoise gemstone at the centre and split seed pearls around the outside representing the petals. Potentially, the top three pearls have been replaced at some point in this lockets lifetime, as they have a slightly different lustre from the bottom three. This is noted for accuracy only and the replacements have been chosen with care. To the inside are two heart shaped frames with their original glass. The glass is a little damaged on one side. I have left this as is, but of course, the glass could be removed if required.

The locket will come on a 14kt gold fill chain as pictured.
