SOLD Victorian 9ct Gold Cased Chalcedony Picture Frame Locket
A wonderful locket from the mid-late Victorian period, c1870s. The locket is made from a thick 9ct gold casing around a metal interior. It has a beautiful ornate border, giving the locket a picture frame look. To the centre front is a lovely piece of white chalcedony that has a gentle glow to it and the back has a little hinged door that clips open to reveal a compartment for a photograph. The locket is in beautiful condition and the casing has not worn at all as can sometimes be the case with items of this construction.
The locket will come on a 14kt gold fill chain as pictured.
