SOLD Victorian 9ct Gold Garnet Acorn Earrings
A lovely pair of delicate earrings from the Victorian period, c1880s. The earrings are made from 9ct gold and have lovely little acorn drops at the bottom that have been set with an almandine garnet. The garnets are a wonderful deep pink colour and have pretty engraved gold 'leaves' to the top giving them their acorn design. The drops hang on gold diamond shapes and are finished with shepherds hooks fittings. It is likely that the garnet acorns and the central design with the hooks are a marriage, though the pairing is excellent. A beautiful and elegant pair of earrings.
