• SOLD Victorian 9ct Gold Pearl & Turquoise Horseshoe Pendant

This item is out of stock

A beautiful pendant from the late Victorian period, c1890s. The pendant is made from 9ct gold and is a lovely large size. It has been made in the shape of a horseshoe and has wonderful split pearls to the front, which are graduated in size and have a lovely variation in the greyscale lustre of the pearls. To the middle are beautiful natural turquoise gemstones, mainly of a similar size and also with a little colour variation. The gemstones appear to all be original and the horseshoe may have started life as something else, possibly a large stickpin, though it came to me as is and seems to have been converted in antiquity.

The horseshoe will come on an 18" 14kt gold fill chain as pictured.
