SOLD Victorian 9ct Gold 'Souvenir' Locket
A wonderful locket from the late Victorian period, c1880s. The locket is made from solid 9ct gold with a 15ct gold gilding over the top to give it a lovely rich gold appearance. It has the word 'Souvenir' across the front in beautiful strong lettering. The Victorians loved to buy sentimental gifts, particularly from their travels abroad, and this is just such a thing to likely commemorate a trip. Inside there are two frames that can be removed to place your own photos behind. The locket is finished with a little gold twist detail and is beautiful quality.
