SOLDVictorian 9ct Gold Turquoise & Pearl Buckle Ring
A wonderful and unassuming ring from the Victorian period, c1880s. The ring is made from solid 9ct gold and is quaintly marked 'solid gold' on the inside of the shank. A wonderful antique detail. The ring has been made in the shape of a buckle with a pretty chased design all around the shank. The buckle was a popular motif in the Victorian period representing strength and an eternal love with a bond that is unbroken. The idea of the buckle creates a continuous circle for this idea of eternity. The ring is set with two natural turquoise and a split pearl and is in beautiful antique condition.
