SOLD Victorian 9kt Gold Plain Locket Ring
A pretty locket ring from the late Victorian period, circa 1900. The ring has a plain oval locket at the center, which would be perfect to engrave some initials onto or a family crest. The locket opens to one side to reveal a compartment. There is a frame inside that can be removed to place something behind. The frame is missing the glass, but has a small piece of thick cellophane in its place that would hold a picture or momento nicely.
The ring has been re-sized before and made larger as there is a remnant of a Chester hallmark, though the date letter has been removed. What is remaining on the shank denotes that the gold is solid 9kt gold. This is also hallmarked on the underside of the locket face.
