SOLD Victorian Coral Snake Charm Pendant
A quirky statement piece from the Victorian period, c1870s. The pendant is made from 15ct gold and has a coiled snake wrapped around a vibrant coral drop. The snake has scales etched all along its body and the head is beautifully made with two little diamond eyes and an emerald. Snakes were very popular during the Victorian period due to Queen Victoria's serpent engagement ring, which also contained an emerald. They came to represent love, wisdom and eternity. This is a pretty piece with a real style.
The pendant will come on an 18" 14kt gold fill chain as pictured.
