SOLD Victorian Diamond Knot Earrings
A pretty and elegant pair of diamond earrings from the late Victorian period, circa 1890. They are a wonderful knot design with a single cut diamond at their center. The diamonds measure approximately 2.8mm in diameter each. The knots have some pretty engraving around the edges, which gives the earrings an added depth of character.
During this period, the knot came to represent a forever love, in that it cannot be untied, and was a popular motif. These are an elegant and simple pair of earrings with dormeuse fittings for added security.
