SOLD Victorian Gilt Metal Pale Blue Enamel Locket
A lovely locket from the late Victorian period, c1890. The locket is made from gilded metal or pinchbeck and is a traditional style from this period. It has beautiful pale blue enamel around the edge with little faux seed pearls set into the frame. A domed resin locket resides at the centre and the frame can be removed at the back to allow your own photo or momento to sit inside. There is enough space inside this locket to house a little jumble of gemstones to create a 'shaker' locket. The enamel is in lovely condition, with only a little sign of touch up on the original bail. A lovely quality piece of costume jewellery, designed to resemble the real thing at a fraction of the cost.
