SOLD Victorian Green Guilloche Enamel Heart Locket on Chain
This stunning heart locket is from the late Victorian period, circa 1890-1900, and is a wonderful example of guilloche enamel. Guilloche refers to the process of using a specific machine to create incredible symmetrical patterns in enamel. It was particularly fashionable during the late 19th and early 20th Century. This vibrant emerald green is a truly wonderful colour and not seen as often as the more common blue guilloche enamel. The heart has a locket back that can be removed to place a small momento behind. The gold of the locket is 10kt gold and the whole piece is in wonderful condition.
It hangs on a fabulous Victorian 9kt gold chain that has an interesting link. The locket can be sold without the chain if required. Please contact us for details.
