Victorian Silver Oblong Glass Locket
A stylish locket from the late Victorian period, c1880s. The locket is made from silver and has two lovely pieces of domed glass to the front and back in an unusual oblong shape. The glass is set in 800/900 silver frames that are hinged to one side allowing the pendant to open as a locket. You could have photos showing on either side. The glass has a lovely soft edge and the locket has been beautifully made. It hangs on a sterling silver box link chain, that is more modern, though it is an excellent match for the piece. The chain measures approx 18" long.
