SOLD Victorian Sterling Silver Teddy Bear Earrings
A lovely pair of earrings from the late Victorian period, c1890s. The earrings are made from sterling silver and are of a hollow construction. They are bears and are a fairly good size making a brilliant statement in the ear. They are marked 'silver' on the back of each bear and have wonderful 'fur' detail all over the front and back. There is evidence to the back to indicate that they have been converted from something else and it is likely that they started life as buttons.
As you'll see in the pictures, there is a bear necklace to go with these earrings, also likely a converted button, that is being sold in a separate listing.
