This item is out of stock

A pretty and unusual pendant from the middle of the 20th Century, thought to date to around the 1940s-50s. The pendant is made from 18ct gold and is marked with the French eagles head as a hallmark. This petite pendant has a twist opening to reveal a little cavity inside, which still contains an original piece of paper with what appears to be a hebrew scripture.  There is also a little curved plate of white gold at the opening with some symbols engraved on it. This little piece is a bit of a mystery and is a lovely little vial. My feeling is that it could be something from World War II, but this is only an inclination. A lovely piece of history to add to any group of charms or to be worn alone with your own love note inside.
