An absolute delight of a ring from the mid 20th Century, c1960s. The ring is made from 18kt gold and is known as a sputnik ring. These rings were popular during this period due to the launch of Sputnik 1 in 1957, which was the first artificial Earth satellite. This particular piece has various gemstones that range in colour. The gemstones are garnets, tourmalines, aquamarines, amethysts and citrines and their random rainbow design makes this large cocktail ring a vibrant affair!

Size - The head of the ring measures approx 21mm in diameter. The gemstones vary in size between approx 4mm and 5mm
