SOLD Vintage 18kt Gold Sugarloaf Amethyst Ring
A wonderful heavy ring from the late 20th Century, dated London 1991. The ring is made from solid 18kt gold and has a clear makers mark of AMG on the inside of the shank. I believe this is the makers mark for Alan Martin Gard who was a particularly prevalent maker in the 1970s. He is know for his retro designs and the company still operates in Hatton Garden today. This is a lovely quality ring and has a stunning sugarloaf cut amethyst set in a rub over setting. The amethyst has a wonderful deep purple hue and the overall chunky appearance of the ring is very striking.
