• SOLD Vintage Sterling Silver Large Orb Pendant

This item is out of stock

An interesting pendant from the 1970s made from sterling silver. The piece has been made in the shape of an orb and has a full English hallmark dating it to Birmingham 1977. It is made by a maker P & R Bushell, a Birmingham maker established in the early 1970s and registered in 1976. Interestingly this piece has the added addition to the hallmark of the Queens head, which is a notable hallmark for this year for the Queens Silver Jubilee. Given the subject, the lovely orb, perhaps this is an unofficial commemorative piece for the Silver Jubilee in 1977.

The piece is fairly substantial in size and can be worn as a pendant. It has a lovely synthetic ruby set on both sides of the cross at the top and would make quite a statement on a long silver chain.
