• SOLD Vintage WWII Silver Finnish Ring

This item is out of stock

An unusual and interesting ring from the World War II era. The ring is Finnish in origin and has the Finnish coat of arms to the top with an open mouthed lion head and his paw raised beside him holding a sword. The ring has full hallmarks and is dated for 1942. It also has heraldic roses on the shoulders of the shank; these are ever present alongside the lion on the coat of arms. This emblem is used in a variety of ways on many Finnish state items and it is difficult to know for sure who would have originally worn this ring. There is an unknown makers name inside the ring.
