Victorian 18ct Gold Pavé Turquoise & Pearl Marquise Ring
A wonderful ring in super condition from the Victorian period, c1860s. The ring is made from 18ct gold with silver settings and is French in origin, marked with the eagle head hallmark. To the top is a beautiful marquise shaped panel of natural turquoise and little natural split seed pearls. They look to be almost completely original (with only 1 or 2 that may have been replaced) and the turquoise generally has a fairly even colour palette with only one stone presenting as dark green. To the shoulders, the shank has some wonderful cut out details, typically French in design, and the shank itself has a ribbed effect with a lovely rosy colour to the gold. A truly exquisite ring in near perfect, original condition.
Pavé turquoise and pearl rings should always be worn with care, particularly around water.
