• SOLD Victorian Silver Gilt Pavé Turquoise Locket

This item is out of stock

A wonderful locket from the mid Victorian period, c1870s. The locket has natural turquoise that has been pavé set to the front with much variation in colour due to the age and wear of the piece. The degrees of colour range from beautiful pale turquoise to a deep sea green. The turquoise gems are all set in silver, as is customary of pieces from this period, and has a gilded back to give it a gold appearance, though the gilding is a little patchy in places.

This piece has been well-loved, which adds to the charm and the price has been adjusted accordingly. There is a frame to the back, which slots out to place your own photo behind. It has its original glass cover.
