Antique 9ct Gold Fede Ring
A wonderful chunky ring from the late Victorian period, c1890s. The ring is made from solid 9ct gold and is a lovely quality example of this style of ring. The fede ring always has two hands either clasping or hiding a heart. It is a ring to represent love or friendship and can be worn in various ways on the hand to represent different things. A secret language! The tip of the heart facing out on the right hand means that you are single, the heart facing in means that you are taken and if you wear it on your left hand, you are married. This one is a particularly lovely one with a good solid band and a slightly puffy appearance to the heart.
