A lovely bangle from the turn of the last century, c1900. The bangle is made from 9ct gold, marked on the inside with 9c, and opens behind the buckle to allow it to be slipped onto the wrist. The central buckle motif is beautifully made and the bangle clips securely into place. Buckles were often given as a token of love and commonly signify loyalty, fidelity and strength. This bangle has a ribbed design all around the outside with a gold twist detail through the centre and is complete with gold ball ends. A lovely addition to any wrist.

Size - The bangle measures approx 4mm wide all the way around. The buckle measures approx 13.5mm by 8mm. The inner diameter is around 5.7cm or 2 1/4”. It would fit a small to medium wrist.

Condition - Excellent. Some minor patina to the gold, left as is.
