Antique Cut Steel Necklace
A wonderful statement necklace from the early 20th Century. The necklace is an example of later cut steel jewellery and exhibits a combination of Victorian style mixing with early 20th Century design. It has fabulous rectangular panels that are linked by steel chains at each corner. The bottom chains are longer than the top to ensure the necklace ‘swags’ in the correct manner. The panels are set with strips of faceted rivets of steel designed to glitter in candlelight. The strips or panels are a later version of this style of jewellery, though with this particular necklace, the quality is still prevalent. It makes an excellent statement on the neck and would be a real talking point.
