Antique Diamond Snake Ring
A lovely snake ring from the late Victorian period, c1880s. The ring is made from solid 18ct gold and has a fairly slender feeling on the finger making it very comfortable to wear. It is a triple coiled snake with an engraved head and tail to the top. It has a stormy rough cut diamond set into the head, which has a lovely sparkle due to the surface facets and is an interesting grey colour. The snake has little red eyes; one is a ruby, the other is glass. Just inside his little mouth is a tiny tongue. A very pretty snake and lovely to find one in this sort of size.
