Antique Joan Of Arc Locket
A lovely little French locket with stunning turquoise enamel. The locket is made from at least 800 silver and is marked with the boars head on the jump ring. The enamel to the front depicts Joan of Arc (Jeanne D’Arc) who is a national heroine of France after she lead the French to victory in Orléans in 1429. The detail is very beautiful and Joan of Arc looks suitably pious. To the back, a repetitive fleur de lis pattern is found in the enamel. The locket is lovely quality and opens on a hinge at the bottom. Inside there are two frames that could be removed to place your own photos inside.
